Chapter included with Book Proposal

Evolving Stanislavski-based Acting through Margolis Method

This chapter examines the foundational connections between Margolis Method and Stanislavski’s System of acting as rooted in a shared deterministic, causal world view. This shared world view allows Margolis Method to elucidate Stanislavski’s concepts of intentions, tactics, and dramatic conflict through the devices of “Cause, Absorb and Effect, Transition” and “Stretching and Compressing the Space through Push and Pull.”

Anticipated Publication by Routledge in 2028.
